How fast can I start selling? +
You can start selling right away. You just need to complete a short verification (KYC) before your first payout is released. It's usually approved within 24 hours, so once your details are confirmed, your earnings are ready to be paid out.
What if my account gets frozen the way it can on Stripe? +
COPE doesn't do silent, automated account-kills. If there's ever an issue, it's a specific, reversible hold with a stated reason and a human behind it, not an algorithm deleting your business overnight.
Is COPE free to use? +
Yes. It's free to sign up, free to set up, and free to build out your products, courses, community and affiliate program. You only pay 3.6% + $1 when a sale actually settles. That one fee covers everything – checkout, courses, community, affiliates, invoicing and tax – all the work you're paying several separate tools for today.
Does COPE handle tax? +
Yes. It applies the correct rate for each customer at checkout across all 27 EU countries, generates the invoice, and issues credit notes on refunds. You never touch a tax table.
Do I still need Kajabi, Teachable, or Circle? +
No. COPE's LMS and Community handle course hosting, delivery, and member spaces natively. If you are already on one of those platforms, COPE integrates with them – customers are auto-enrolled when they purchase through COPE. Many operators migrate fully off the third-party platform within 60 days.
How does the payout schedule work? +
Your balance splits into three buckets – Pending, Available, and Reserve – and every payout shows the same transparent breakdown: gross earnings, processor fees, COPE fee, tax withheld, net transferred. You choose your transfer schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). Instant payouts available on supported rails.
What does the white glove migration actually include? +
For operators above $20k MRR: a dedicated migration specialist, a written plan within 48 hours, full import of products, customers, active subscriptions, affiliate links, and transaction history, URL forwarding, end-to-end testing, and three days of active monitoring after switchover. Below $20k MRR, our support team handles the migration directly with the same tools and outcome.
What payment methods are supported? +
Card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) at sign-up. PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA Direct Debit, Klarna, ACH, and regional rails (SeQura, TWINT, Bizum) ship as they roll out.
Do you also have an API? +
Yes. The Public Commerce API and Cart SDK let you build external checkouts on your own domain, integrate COPE with custom internal tools, and (coming next) connect your AI agents directly via MCP. If you are running Claude, OpenAI, or other agents in your business already, COPE will be one of the commerce platforms they can act on natively.
What happens if my account gets flagged? +
You get a reason and a person. Holds are explained and reversible, and your account manager tells you what clears it.
Can I start selling before I'm fully verified? +
You can set up products and go live while verification runs. Payouts release once it completes – and you'll see exactly where you are instead of guessing.
